Long-Term Studies

How does technology experience change over time?

A key question in HCI and HRI is not only what “acceptance” of technology means in short- and long-term, but also what aspects it includes. There are several models and theories that focus specifically on long-term acceptance and adoption of technology. Overall, these models suggest that people’s acceptance and use of technology/robots change over time, on an individual level, as well as when considering different adopter groups. In general, the temporal dimension of acceptance is under-studied in HRI.
